November 5, 20187 yr I'm using a Yahoo email account that I created a number of years ago and hadn't used for a long time, so you could say that it's now dedicated to the task. It sends emails to my Gmail account that I use on my Android phone.
November 5, 20187 yr Gmail supports per application passwords: cf https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en Then there's pushbullet (free), pushover (paid), slack(free), and the capability of making your own... and a few more I have no idea about.

If you use the option to use “less secure” authentication you can get gMail to work with Unraid. If necessary you can set up a gmail account just for use with UnRAID if you want to keep 2-factor authentication on your main gmail account.
