disks not spinning down

Featured Replies

You may want to update your cache_dirs plugin.

I see you're running an outdated plugin. Check the status, it will probably show "stopped".

Might be related to your issue?

But maybe there is another issue as well. I'm not sure, because people report different findings.

Some solve their issue with cache_dirs, other still have em.

Check that thread, maybe you see similarities.

Uninstall your version and install using this repository or read some follow-up posts how to replace the plg manually.

Regarding your problem, you may want to read the last few posts of that thread and see if something is similar to your problem.

I'm not sure if the techinque used in the "open files" plugin will show you such things!

My guess is "rather not".

After changing the disk settings to spin down after 1hr. my unraid vm is behaving as expected.

Have you tried the file activity plugin?

It seems it was designed for tracing things like that.

It's different to the open files plugin.

I can't answer further questions, as I just searched for it myself - you have to dig yourself through the thread.

Thanks for the tipp.

Ill try that.

Also i removed the outdated plugin and more disks are now spun down (1-3). I couldnt find a tutorial how to install a other version yet...

Edit: File actiivty plugin doesnt seem to work. I start it and access plex, nothing shows tho.

Edit2: nvm, if i open a movie, it shows it. But disks spin up where it doesnt show any activity, but ill let it now run for a day and see.
