Is it possible to specify which files to be downloaded when adding a torrent? Like qBittorrent in Windows.

nope, that is not possible with this image at present.

Sorry for your loss, there is nothing included in this image which will by default delete torrents and/or data, but there was a vulnerability flagged with qBittorrent that affects all versions up to (not including) v5.0.1, so i guess it's possible you got hacked and somebody maliciously deleted the torrents and data:- https://forums.unraid.net/topic/75539-support-binhex-qbittorrentvpn/page/164/#findComment-1487478

If you are running v5.0.1 and above then it won't be this and you will need to look at other avenues.

I have a tracker that I use that issues new session ID's every time I change IP address and it gets a bit frustrating...

Are there any plans to release a version of this with libtorrent v1 like how linuxserver does? I apologize if this has been asked before, but there are other qbittorrent images are not nearly as convenient for me due to using proton vpn, and I've been told by people a lot smarter than me that libtorrent v1 is significantly better for torrenting.

Hey all, quick question - I keep getting Docker disk utilization warning, so started to check image sizes, and it seems this image keep growing. Currently it's at 1.8gb - is that normal or do I have some setup issue? Thanks!

It usually means you have a path mapped incorrectly. Post your docker run command. Be sure to redact users/passwords.

Anyone else having troubles with "/dev/net/tun" not being accessible? I updated my host machine recently (I believe it included a kernel and containerio) and now I can't get this container operating. I've tried modprobing tun on the host, changing the permissions of /dev/net/tun in the container...I'm at a bit of a loss. Arm64 most recent image

Thanks for your answer and support. I was running 5.0.2 so I need further investigation to find out what could have happened.

I'm torrenting for almost 10 years and my configuration hardly change. It's the first time something like that occurs.

 

Do you think the other malware .lnk stuff could have done something like that ?

Do you know how I can scan my drives to look for potential malware / hack ?

Did you accidently click on a malware laden .lnk file using Windows?, if so there is a possibility this is the source of the issue, do a full AV scan.

 

P.S. Please do note opening lnk files from unraid console/terminal will NOT infect a linux machine, the code embedded in the malware payload is a batch file, which simply won't execute on linux.

I haven't seen any .lnk in my system but because everything got wipe out I could not confirm....anyway I'll do some scan on my machine just to be sure.

How do I access the UI? I can access the UI with the VPN turned off. But not with it on?

Attach your supervisord.log as well as your docker run command to your next post. Be sure to redact users/passwords.

Looks like a few failed starts followed by a successful one. A few things, looks like a space between your LAN_NETWORK settings. Should be just comma separated. No space. If you are trying to access the webUI from 192.168.3.0/24 that should work though. Also, this container is designed to be used in bridge mode. Not sure if that’s part of your experience problem or not.

Thanks, wgstarks. The successful start was with the VPN turned off. I've tried everything, including the comma between LANs, changing the network to bridge and a few other things. The only thing that works is turning off the VPN which defeats the whole purpose of this docker. 

 

I did have this docker working several months ago and it just stopped working. All of a sudden and for no reason at all I couldn't access the UI with the VPN turned on.

There is one item in the log-

I’m afraid I don’t have any experience with ProtonVPN so not sure if this is part of your issue.  It does appear just before the shutdown.

Thanks for all the help. I finally got it working. For some reason when I put the docker on the bridge network the first time it didn't work. It is now. So I just changed all my arrs over to the bridge as well. No big deal. I just hate having all that come through the management network. 

 

I don't know if the +pmp is a ProtonVPN thing or not. But all that means is if I want to use port forwarding I have to put +pmp at the end of my VPN username in the config.

Questions regarding “shared” path.

1) Can you give me an example of uses for this path? I doubt I have a need for it but want to be sure.

2) Can I create a dummy path to an empty share without causing any issues? Appdata Backup generates an error that this path does not exist every time a backup runs so I’m thinking if I create a dummy path that may solve the problem.

this was designed to share the incoming port assignment when having multiple containers sharing the same vpn network, if you aren't doing this or do not need an incoming port for any of the apps then you can ignore this.

CA appdata backup does not support docker volumes, thus it (incorrectly) shows an error, just ignore the error or delete the shared docker volume if you dont need it.

 You can see that I am using VPN_INPUT_PORTS and VPN_OUTPUT_PORTS but I don’t have anything set for the path “shared”. Not sure if I need to create that path or not. My template is pretty outdated. I see on GitHub that there is a default of “binhex-shared” so maybe I don’t actually need to add it to my template???

TBH i am considering backing out the change to add in the shared docker volume, it causes a lot of support with the CA Appdata backup, so for now i would ignore it.

FYI the default value is simply what will be shown in the unraid web ui if you were using the latest template (which you aren't), keep in mind no changes whatsoever get pushed to users when the template changes.

Yeah. Thanks. Been looking for an easy way to pull template updates but looks like I can either modify files that wont survive a reboot (I hate mc) or take screenshots of the settings, install a fresh version of the docker and configure everything all over again.
