puncho
What would you guys recommend to backup my data (e.g. family pictures, videos, personal documents, etc.)? I'm looking for a few things. 1) Ease. Would like to just be able to plug in a usb hard drive and allow it to incrementally back up. Also perhaps backing up to my main desktop computer 2) Encryption. Since they're personal files, would like it to have some sort of encryption. 3) Accessibility. At the same time, I want to be able to just get into the backup and drag/drop files if I were to bring the hard drive to a friend's/family's computer. I looked into duplicati but saw that it was slow and also encrypted it so that it's not as readily accessible? Would it be a good idea to use Veracrypt to encrypt the external hard drive and then a rsync script to automate it? Any tutorials/in depth explanation appreciated since I'm pretty noob with scripts Thanks! Quote Link to comment
John_M
I backup to another Unraid server. It's easy, it offers encryption if you want it, and it's as accessible as you want to make it. Quote Link to comment
