November 11, 20187 yr Community Expert The Community Apps plugin expects templates to be hosted on GitHub so I would suggest that is the place to put them.

Technically yes, but under the hood the reason for GitHub is that it is the only place that dockerMan works with for it's repository system (design limitation when it was created during the 6.0 beta series), so by extension all repositories for templates in CA have to be located on GitHub.
