charleslam
https://sewelldirect.com/hd-link-pro-by-sewell-hdmi-over-single-cat5-extender-1080p-330-ft- HDMI https://www.digi.com/products/models/aw-usb-2 USB i already purchased the digi usb and will soon get the sewell HDMI over network. currently have pretty good fiber networking through the house so i shouldnt need to worry about putting too much of a strain on the network. my worries are that the latency from having everything on network will prove to be too bad for gaming. i will try these on a VM and see what the results are like. charleslam
The digi has worked really well over the network. it is almost seemless. As for the sewell HDMI, it looks like that is a no-go as you cant have multiple transmitters and receivers on the same network. instead i will be looking into this product: http://www.tesla-smart.com/120M-HDMI-KVM-Many-to-Many-Over-IP-Exten?product_id=100 I figured more people would be interested in this as you can bypass USB passthrough altogether, as it would be using a networked USB connection. But i guess not. Quote Link to comment
charleslam
I've gotten around to trying the nyrius aries prime, and unfortunately the lag is so bad that it will not work. until wireless or networked HDMI improves i will be stuck using hdmi cables. Quote Link to comment
