September 15, 201015 yr I now have this problem that when a drive is sleeping - any files i want to copy will fail on the first attempt. I have to wait for it to error out then try again. On the 2nd try it seems to work. This is becoming a bigger problem as I use my unraid as an FTP server that recieves backups from my company and suddenly all of my backups seem to be failing. My backup software reports this error - not sure if it related. "500 The server returned invalid response for PASV command. " Any suggestions?
February 17, 201115 yr I believe and someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I suspect it is due to the spinup of the drive. When I'm loading media I use YAMJ which access the jpg files etc for the display of the movies and if the drives are spun down it fails too. Not really sure of an neat solution but try spinning up the drives first. Josh
