[solved] Libvirt Service failed to start. - after 6.6.5 upgrade

Featured Replies

as title states. rolled back to 6.6.3, problem persisted. diags on 6.6.5 attached at bottom.

searched and found there can be issues with libvert.img location, but verified mine was

/mnt/cache/system/libvirt/libvirt.img

I have not deleted and re-created the img yet as I was hoping to avoid doing that unless there are no other viable options.

thanks!

I don't even see an attempt to start it, did you try safe mode?

not yet, I can try that this evening. It was re-upgraded back to 6.6.5 with same issue.

also, if i toggle it off and back on, logs show:

Nov 15 10:14:43 Backup emhttpd: Starting services...
Nov 15 10:14:57 Backup ool www[22993]: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/emhttpd_update
Nov 15 10:14:57 Backup emhttpd: req (4): cmdStatus=apply&csrf_token=****************
Nov 15 10:14:57 Backup emhttpd: Starting services...
Nov 15 10:14:57 Backup emhttpd: no mountpoint along path: /mnt/

edit---

after searching for "emhttpd: no mountpoint along path: /mnt/"

I found another post about how if one path is not right it can mess up. So my ISO path was just set to /mnt/, changed to the actual iso folder and now it's appears opperational, although all the vm's are now missing....
