Moose_Flunky
I'm currently running an evaluation version of Unraid 6.5.3 on a Supermicro server with 4 on board 1 Gig ethernet ports. In addition, the server is also configured with a two port 10 Gig interface card. I currently have all 4 ethernet ports plugged into a Cisco 3650e switch, as well as one of 10 gig interfaces. The 3650e has two 10 gig uplink ports on it as well as 48-1gb ports. So, the question is--what is the best way to configure these ethernet ports in Unraid? Bridge them, bond them, leave some separate? Is there an advantage to having certain dockers have a dedicated port? I plan on running Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, Deluge, and if I'm sure I'll add more as I continue to watch SpaceInvader One's Youtube channel. What say you? Bob Quote Link to comment
bonienl
A single 10G interface is more than sufficient to connect the server. Alternatively you may bond a number of gigabit ports for enhanced redundancy or throughput. No not mix 1G and 10G ports in a bonded interface, i.e. all interfaces in a bond must be the same type.
