DZMM
I've got a choice of 8TB ironwolf or N300 to replace my Seagate archive HDD. All of my other drives are X300s or N300s and I've had a decent record with them, or tosh have been great with replacements. But, I've heard good things about the ironwolf. Should I make the switch or stick with Toshiba drives? Thanks for any opinions shared. Edited November 18, 2018 by DZMM Quote Link to comment
DZMM
I went for the N300 as the reviews said the Ironwolf was quite noisy and I like how my system is quiet even though I'm running 8 HDDs now. Also, because I think having similar performance drives makes more sense, even if the Ironwolf is 'faster' which I'm not certain it is - and would I even notice anyway! I've also had good experiences with Toshiba's warranty in the UK, so I'm sticking with what I know. Edited November 18, 2018 by DZMM Quote Link to comment
