November 22, 20187 yr I am now 3 for 3 (2 my book, 1 easy store) with these guys in the last 60 days. All shucked after running badblocks 4 pattern pass & then 2x preclear. All 3 quit spinning in the last 2 weeks. All 3 sent back for return. The seagate expansions may be slow, but out of 4 purchased since Sept, only 1 has shown any issues (it briefly went offline and has a SMART report error - Reported Uncorrectable errors). I think the time sink is the worst part.
November 22, 20187 yr 100% failure 😂 I have six from Amazon ( 4 Helium , 2 Air ) all no issue ( first one in April, but all not 7x24 turn-on ). 2 ( suppose Air ) from Newegg will coming soon. No any Seagate. Edited November 22, 20187 yr by Benson
