November 23, 20187 yr Hi all, Specs: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/TeaLake/saved/BnbV6h I (jokingly) set the local TLD for my unRAID machine to "beast" before realising it didn't work nicely with something (don't remember what) so I changed it back to local. Worked for a long while until now, when going to either the internal or external IP redirects to https://the.beast I've booted into GUI mode, confirmed the TLD is set to "local", flushed DNS Help. I can't do literally any work. Daf
November 23, 20187 yr Community Expert Admin moved this thread to General Support and my latest post to this got left behind so I am posting it again. Can you ping it by IP? Can you access the command line either on the console or by telnet/ssh? You are going to have to get us diagnostics somehow.
November 23, 20187 yr Community Expert Have you perhaps named your server "the.beast"? Possibly that is the problem. If so, you can fix that by editing config/ident.cfg on flash.

I don't have physical access Your flash drive is mounted at /boot, so the file is /boot/config/ident.cfg. Unraid comes with Midnight Commander (mc at the command line) and it has a builtin editor. There are some other linux editors builtin also but I don't use them so don't have a list handy.

November 23, 20187 yr Community Expert Please don't link to unknown external sites. Just attach your syslog directly to your post. Or better if you could get us the complete diagnostics zip.

November 23, 20187 yr Community Expert Your syslog is full of hack attempts from all over. Don't put your server on the internet.

Maybe you didn't read it.

November 23, 20187 yr Community Expert Take your server off the internet. Then maybe we can work together to get things working again, including perhaps VPN. Lots of people have made this work.
