November 28, 20187 yr Hello, I'm completely new to unRAID and VMs in general but have read every guide and searched the forum. I have a windows 10 virtual machine installed and running on a PC. On my mac I access unRAID and start the VM. How do I get to the VM and windows install. Tried using a VNC cleint and server address but it says the computer rejects the PC rejects the connection. Tried HDMI and display port out to see if there was a signal and nothing. How do access the windows ISO through the server to install it? Thanks. Sorry if this is a stupid question.
November 28, 20187 yr What VNC viewer are you trying to use on your Mac? Try to use chicken. That always worked for me. For installation I recommend you to use VNC, while if you run I recommend you do a passthrough. (this will require you to have a GPU in your built though)
November 28, 20187 yr Are you having problems with the noVNC (web based) that is setup by default when creating a VM? That is the easiest way IMHO. I usually add the GPU to the config only once I've got windows installed and all the virtio drivers etc installed. Edited November 28, 20187 yr by tjb_altf4
