V6.6.6 - "SATA link down" Blu-ray drive

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have an ASUS BC-12D2HT connected to an Asrock Z390 Taichi Ultimate motherboard as part of a new Unraid build.

When it's connected to the chipset's SATA ports, Unraid boots up fine and sees the drive.

When I connect it to one of the on-board ASMedia ASM1061's ports I get the "SATA link down" message in the picture attached and startup hangs.

The only option I have to tinker with is hot plug for the controller, same result if it's enabled or disabled.

Thanks in advance,

Asmedia controllers support mostly disks, doesn't mean all optical drives won't work but there can be issues, just connect it to one of the Intel ports and use the Asmedia controller for disks or SSDs.
