December 5, 20187 yr I have a large share which was hit with the rapid ransomware earlier in the year, I've decided it's now time to delete it in order to free up space, I used SSH and MC in order to recursively delete the share, but after 9500 files of 380000 the SSH has stopped responding and the web interface is showing a 504 gateway timeout. Unable to access any of the running containers or VMs via RDP or the webserver that is running on Ubuntu on my server either. I'd rather not have to kill it because I'm running an exchange server as well and it doesn't take kindly to unclean shutdowns. Ended up plugging a screen in to check the terminal, nothing was amiss but it wouldn't accept any key word inputs and wouldn't repsond to the power button in order to do a graceful shutdown. Running 6.5.1 if that helps. How do I delete the contents of the share without this happening again? Edited December 6, 20187 yr by Spies
