dexdiman
A couple months ago I purchased the CP1500AVRLCD for my Unraid server. I read on here, before I purchased it, that it works with Unraid, but I can't get it working. No matter what I try the UPS Status always reads "Lost Communication". Would someone mind sharing their configuration for this UPS? Quote Link to comment
BillClinton
Try the NUT plugin instead. The built in application works best with APC branded UPS’s. you’ll find the NUT plugin via Community Applications. (Don’t forget to turn off the APC application before starting NUT so there is no interference). Quote Link to comment
trurl
Have you tried a different USB port? I don't have that particular model but I am using a CyberPower UPS just fine with the builtin APCUPSd and I know others are using that brand just fine as well. USB2 seems to work better than USB3 on some motherboards. Quote Link to comment
dexdiman
I've tried multiple USB ports and multiple USB cables and it still won't work. This is an older system and doesn't have USB 3. Quote Link to comment

Squid
There's also multiple types of Cables that you can select in UPS settings that may (or may not) help you. Quote Link to comment

I did a fare amount of research before buying a UPS to make sure I got one that people have used and works with Unraid, and almost all users who bought Cyberpower UPS' in general have "USB Cable" and "USB Type" set to "USB" and it works just fine. I did do a little digging over the weekend and noticed that the UPS doesn't show up in the System Devices area under USB Devices. Should it? Can I plug anything into it and have it detected or are only certain devices detected? Also, is it labeling the USB as 1.1? My system isn't that old... I'm wondering if Unraid is incorrectly detecting the USB ports on the system. But I don't have anything showing as USB1.1 as you can see. Maybe there is something in your BIOS settings. Quote Link to comment
sfnetwork
Did you ever figure it out, I got the same UPS, and I have the same issues (also not detecting the UPS in the USBs... Quote Link to comment
sfnetwork
Yeah well, in my case, the UPS was defective (USB wasn't detected anywhere, tried different stations)... So nothing to do with UNRAID Returned it and ordered an APC, not taking any chance... Quote Link to comment
Alabaster
I have the same UPS and haven't had issues with it being detected. I did have an issue getting the server and UPS to shutdown properly so the server would power back on after an outage, but I was able to resolve that by tweaking settings in the NUT plugin. Sharing a post I made about that below in hopes that someone will get use out of it. 1 Quote Link to comment
