DJRon
I recently had to replace one of my drives that failed the SMART tests Quote Error 1 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 9848 hours (410 days + 8 hours) When the command that caused the error occurred, the device was active or idle. Replacement went well. Drive rebuild completed without error; but I have noticed that periodically checking my unraid status. The replacement drive is the only one other than parities that are constantly spinning. All other drives are spun down. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

Squid
What drive is always spun up? Disk 5? From the (presumably) appdata.cfg share # Share exists on cache,disk5 Stop the docker and vm service from Settings Tab. Then Appdata settings, change use cache drive to be Prefer. Then Main, run Mover. Then re-enable the docker / vm service Edited December 10, 2018 by Squid 1 Quote Link to comment

DJRon
OK thanks for the steps now I'll just check periodically to make sure it resolved the issue. Thanks Again! Quote Link to comment
DJRon
Still seem to be having the issue with drive 5. Which diagnostic file did you find that line in? Thanks, epcot-diagnostics-20181214-1459.zip Quote Link to comment
