After power outage Unraid keeps dropping and reconnecting.

Featured Replies

Our power went out while we were streaming from our Unraid server.  When power came back hours later we can connect to Unreal and then the connection will drop and then reconnect a few minutes later.  The cycle keeps going...

I checked the USB stick and it had an error.  After I fixed it there was no change.

Took awhile but I managed to get a diagnostics file. (attached) Edit - Can't stay connected long enough to grab an undated file yet.  Still trying

Either the clock is wrong or your diagnostic is 3 months old.

Try using the Console.  After logging in, type    diagnostics   on the Command Line.  That will write the Diagnostics file to the  logs   folder/directory on the flash drive.  Shut the server down at that point, pull the drive and upload the file from your PC.

Thanks for the help!  After absolutely no action on my part it reverted to proper operation after approx. 12 hours and is working flawlessly.

just btw, you can buy a UPS for <50€. It already helped me servival times... if power loss, it tells unraid to clean shutdown, when power comes back, the server turns itself on again... ^^

This!  It will prevent a power surge, component damage, keep you going and won't consume any extra electricity.  Worthwhile investment!

It does take some power tho, but not noticable.

This is a BIOS setting.  Most of the time the BIOS (if the option is available) defaults to not automatically restarting the system up on power application.  You also have to program the UPS to shutdown power conversion after the server shutdown is finished and not to supply power until AC power is restored.
