Ok,  So I followed the FAQ to remove my 2 HDD pool drives correctly. Went well.

I followed the guide to add 4x250GB SSDs and it went well.  500GB Available as expected.

I followed the "Balance" guide to switch to RAID10.  Seemed to go well.  Balance shows:

 

Data, RAID10: total=2.00GiB, used=768.00KiB

System, RAID10: total=128.00MiB, used=16.00KiB

Metadata, RAID10: total=1.00GiB, used=112.00KiB

GlobalReserve, single: total=16.00MiB, used=48.00KiB

 

However the available space is only 500GB still.....  Something is off, but I can't tell what.

    Update,  I am an idiot.   I wasnt thinking.

     

    RAID0 is what I wanted,  not RAID10.  

     

    Now its correct.

     

    -dconvert=raid0 -mconvert=raid1
