Unraid 6.5 - Red X on drive - help with Smart Report

Featured Replies

Hello good people,

I got a red X on my disk6 drive running xfs.  Would someone help me to diagnose if the drive is still good?

Have attached the smart report

thanks in advance

Drive is currently offline, so no SMART report.  Post the diagnostics before you reboot.

Thanks!  But, shoot.  When I restarted the array (not a reboot), it shows the disk is missing and there's no option to run a smart report.

I was able to check filesystem status, but that didn't give me smart report.

I am able to get smart reports on all my other disks, but not this one.

What's the trick?

That is using the emulated disk.

Disk6 does not appear in those diagnostics. Shutdown, check connnections, try diagnostics again.

ok, thanks. I did that, swapped bays with another disk and and it seemed to recognize it. Right now it's building parity and I got this diagnostic report. still showing emulation on the GUI

It can't be rebuilding parity. Do you mean it is rebuilding disk6? If you take a look in Main, disk6 should be the one that is getting a lot of writes.
