says Error Connection Timed Out on Chrome and on IE: Error Code: INET_E_RESOURCE_NOT_FOUND

Both port are open and have verified they are correctly configured.

I just ran this command "docker system prune --all --force --volumes" with only NginxProxyManager stopped and erased the appdata folder as well, reinstalled. same issues.

Here is the new LOG after this.

Has anyone successfully managed to get Ombi to work with this? I have an issue where I can setup the reverse proxy but I cannot get past the login page of ombi (wont let me click the sign in button).

Make sure that WebSocket support is disabled for your proxy host.

anyone have this going with Home Assistant? I have it working fine, but on some occasions I have to hit the "retry" button to login. After clicking retry its fine. It can cause the IOS app to be blocked for a short period but it also comes good if you force close the app and re-open.

I figure I might need to add extra settings for 100% compatibility?

ok than an example how it should work but it doesn't or I'm understanding something wrong.

I want to have

domain.de --> static page

domain.de/portainer --> portainer webui access

192.1.2.3:81 --> default_www/startpage/nginx_proxy_manager

192.1.2.3:9000 --> Portainer

Domain name: domain.de

sheme: http

IP: 192.1.2.3

Port: 81

Custom Location

location: /portainer

sheme: http

IP: 192.1.2.3

First, make sure to upgrade to the latest docker image, which contains a fix for subfolder forwarding.

Then, do you need to pass the "/portainer/" part of the URL to the forward host? if not, then set the location to "/portainer/" and the forward IP to "192.1.2.3/" (not the ending slashes).

I'm trying to setup Nginx Proxy Manager for the first time, having never setup Nginx Reverse Proxy. I read about how easy it is, but I don't really know what to do and I can't find any guide to get started, to at least get one service going. Can someone help me out, please?

Edit: I was able to get one up and running, oddly enough using the service's SSL port, but getting to it via port 80 through my router without SSL. NPM bounced me over to the SSL port, as confirmed by firewall log.

I now have SSL setup, but it says cert doesn't match domain, even though it works. I am using subdomain, so I tried generating another cert for the domain including the subdomain and that did work. Do I have to create certs for each subdomain I use? Wouldn't a wildcard come into play here? I didn't see any option for that in the settings.

I keep editing this post again and again after I keep figuring things out. I'm learning so much. Heh heh.

Another edit: It seems as if we just add all our subdomains into one cert to make this happen. Is that the best way to do it?

If you need to create a proxy host for each of your subdomains, then using a different certificate for each of them is not an issue and is easy to do.

Wildcard certificate is not supported at the moment.

hey Djoss,

I am trying to install a custom namecheap certificate, but the GUI keeps showing upload failed...

I see this is a bug apparently? https://github.com/jc21/nginx-proxy-manager/issues/52

How or where do I add my custom cert? Do I add it to the nextcloud docker? or can I add it to NPM and use it from there?

Certificate should be added to NPM.

Which error do you have in the container's log?

Can the external and/or internal ports be changed for this app? Whether I wanted to use different ports when coming in from outside, instead of 80 and 443, or possibly use 80 and 443 internally, which I realize would make me change it for unRAID, but I wanted to know if doing either would cause issues with anything? Also, is port 80 needed anyways? I use only SSL.

Is your certificate in PEM format?

Port 80 is needed if you want your certificates to be automatically generated by Letsencrypt.

If by external ports you are talking about ports visible from the Internet, then you can use something else than 80/443 if you want.  But again, if you want to use letsencrypt, you need to have port 80 accessible from the Internet,.

Thank you for your super support.

I managed to get portainer running. But only when I''m opening domain.de/portainer/ and not with domain.de/portainer

Problems are currently

- A static site as welcome site under domain.de --> background pictures laying a folder under it and will not be shown

- Unraid under domain.de/unraid --> missing js --> Only working when domain.de refers to 192.1.2.3:80

- Proxy Manager under domain.de/proxy --> Nothing will be shown

Idea was

domain.de --> Direct to proxy manager 192.1.2.3:81 to give out a static page

domain.de/unraid --> 192.1.2.3:80

domain.de/proxy --> 192.1.2.3:7818

You need to add a redirect:  In your proxy host, access the advanced tab and add the following:

location = /portainer {return 301 $scheme://$http_host/portainer/;}

I guess the welcome site is server by another web server?

Did you applied the same strategy/config as the portainer's one?

Tried to overwrite the Congratulations Page.

Insert a index.html and a folder called web_images. In the HTML i call the prictures with <img src="web_images/icon.png">

Maybe the call in the index html is wrong or better I need to give the proxy the folder.

Also when I call 192.1.2.3:81 directly the images are not found.

yes. try to learn it buts really complicated if you do it the first one.

I think my problem is, that all the folders which the site (unraid, static,...) refere to are not found.
