French-Guy
Hello I do not have any cache drive yet, but planning to add one Is this a decent choice for a cache drive (may add another one down the road to make a cache pool) https://www.microcenter.com/product/503405/480gb-3d-tlc-nand-sata-iii-6gb-s-25-internal-solid-state-drive-(480g) Or should I avoid that brand? koshia
For how cheap SSDs are now, I would advise doing a cache pool of 2 minimum if you are going down this rabbit hole. In case you have unreliable SSDs, you wouldn't lose out on the data that's actively being written to permanent storage. I have a BTRFS cache pool of 2x https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=9SIA85V5N23037 for the last couple of years and they've been doing really well. Kind of expensive now, I remember getting them on sale for right above $100. Your drives look okay to me. marshy919
Have you got an m2 slot on the motherboard? If not put a PCIE to m2 adapter in and get a Samsung 970 evo. Run real quick Quote Link to comment
