FTP and File Copying

Featured Replies

New to Unraid and have been trying it out. Couple issues that I came across that I need help with.

Unraid 4.5.6 Basic

Copying

I was able to mount my external internal sata drive with Snap and and used the cp -r command to copy between the external to the raid. Issue is that power went out and the some of the directory sizes do not match in size. Is there a way to use cp or an addon to pickup partial files and complete them. I tried unstoppable copier but I am unable to load it.

FTP

I am able to ftp to the server using filezilla but was unable to view directories. I then copied ls to the folder and was able to view the top layer. Anytime I create a new folder and transfer files, I am unable to view the directory. If someone can provide a vsftpd.conf that works, I would greatly app it.

Thanks for the help

Nothing huh

Regarding copying, you can use TeraCopy to run a CRC check on two different folders.  Any the files that don't match, you can just delete the newer versions and re-copy the older ones.  I don't know of a way to 'pick up partial files and complete them', and I also don't know of a way to accomplish this using SNAP.

I don't know the answer to your FTP question as I don't use FTP.  I do all my copying over SMB.
