December 23, 20187 yr Hi all, I have been using UnRAID since 2012 and my current build since 2013. I use it almost exclusively as a media file server that I stream content to a OSMC Kodi box at my TV. I don't use any dockers or VM. I am thinking about a 4k TV upgrade and am wondering if there are speed improvements that I have to make. I am also just generally wondering about streaming speed. My current system: M/B: ASRock - H77 Pro4/MVP CPU: Intel® Celeron® CPU G1620 @ 2.70GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Disabled Cache: 512 kB, 128 kB, 2048 kB Memory: 4 GB (max. installable capacity 32 GB) Network: eth0: 1000 Mb/s, full duplex, mtu 1500 Kernel: Linux 4.18.20-unRAID x86_64 OpenSSL: 1.1.1a Drives in array 5 - 8TB ST8000 Parity 8TB ST8000 My array is almost full so I am going to be adding a drive soon, so wanted to check if this build is sufficient for the foreseeable future.
