Node red and home assistant integration with SSL

Hello,

Wondering if someone can help... I'm struggling with getting node red talking to home assistant. To connect them I need to use my duck dns domain with SSL(cannot use the local IP SSL cert not recognised) - My router doesn't seem to support "NAT loopback" which I have been told is the other option. Is there a way around this - With windows I edit the HOSTS file so it doesnt go external....
