December 29, 20187 yr Hello unraid forums I have had my server for a while now and I have issues every time I reboot it I loose my network connection to my server. This are the parts I am using: Server: Supermicro X10SLN-7 Intel Xeon E3-1240L 32GB of Samsung ECC memory 8x 6TB WD Red HDDs 1x Curcial MX500 512GB SSD as cache Kingston Data Traveler USB-stick Switch: HP 1810-24G with LACP passive enabled I am trying to run this server in 802.3ad LAG configuration: My switch configuration: My unraid server is connected to port 23 and 24 on the switch and both network cables are working. Both the switch and the server reports a uplink status. the unraid server is only untagged on vlan 12 all other vlans are excluded. So the issue is that every time I reboot the server I usually loss all network connectivity happens 9/10 times I would say. I know this because if I open Supermicro IPMI and connect to the console I can't ping anything. The problem always go away if I in the change the trunk configuration from LACP Passive to Disabled so the interfaces on the switch disables and then change it back to LACP passive again. I have really tried troubleshooting this in depth now but I am out of ideas. I run the latest version of unraid 6.6.6 and all bios and firmware are up to date.
December 29, 20187 yr Does the HP switch also support LACP active? This would allow both ends to talk LACP and inform each other.
December 29, 20187 yr Author Yes it does modes available are: Static Active Passive Disabled But active has the same problem as passive has I have to manually disable and enable it for it to work after reboot. Seems extremely weird.
December 30, 20187 yr Perhaps it is a LACP compatibility issue? What happens when you restart the server with only ONE link connected?
