i am attempting to set up a vm to run a couple of local minecraft servers, but i need the vm to get it's ip from my router, i have seen references to a public bridge to do this, but can't find any information on actually setting it up. does anyone know how to do this?

    so in case you need to do the above, you need to disable bonding on the interface you want to use, it will then pass an ip from the router to the vm.
