Disk Disabled- Contents Emulated

Featured Replies

Hello, can someone help me take a look at my SMART results for this drive? I was copying a movie file to the drive at the time I received the disk error notification so I don't know if the disk is failing or if it was just a faulty write. From what I can make heads or tails of, there isn't any pending sectors but still results in read error.

Thanks,

Caleb

SMART looks OK but if Unraid disabled the disk it must have had a write error, probably a connection issue. The disk will have to be rebuilt.

Please go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete diagnostics zip file to your next post.

Nothing in logs since reboot.

To rebuild the disk to itself:

  1. Stop array
  2. Unassign disk
  3. Start array with disk unassigned
  4. Stop array
  5. Reassign disk
  6. Start array to begin rebuild

If it offers to format anything, DON'T
