So I got one of these..... I read it uses 4k sectors or possibly 4k sectors emulating 512b.

 

How do I tell what its doing from unRaid?

 

Just running Joe's preclear script and read speeds seem normal so far.

Any update after completing the pre-clear?  Thanks!

Drive misalignment = lower write speeds

 

I don't think you will find any problems though...

Preclear nearly finished,  read and write speeds seem completely normal during preclear, in fact it looks slightly faster than the HD203WI I cleared a while back.

If misalignment only affects writes then I don't need to worry anyway,  all writes to my array are done by scheduled tasks and automated procedures.
