Disable Second NIC registering with DNS

Featured Replies

Forgive me if this seems foolish - but there is reason for not teaming the two NIC's I'm using. Specifically I'm leveraging one for certain docker network connections on a macvlan docker bridge, and others on the shared bridge. For this I need two separate NIC's, with 2 separate IP's. The problem I'm finding, is that at times, if I have to reboot, the system will potentially have one NIC register first with the different IP. While I can create a static entry, or just use IP, that isn't desirable.

I'd like to know if there is a way to actually stop a specific NIC from trying to register with the local DNS with the same hostname? I've seen lots of threads on how to do this in a Windows world, but not as much on Linux. And more specifically, nothing on unRAID. Hoping someone may have some wise input?
