So when trying to change video encoder settings in the plug-ins, for example "keep container" it just flashes and does not change the option i select.

Am i doing something wrong or is it a bug?

What branch are you on?
Staging or latest for the docker image tag?

Having the same issue unfortunately. I have the docker image tag set to latest. On Unmanic Version: 0.1.4~655b18b encoding settings save fine but after upgrading to Unmanic Version: 0.2.0+8b88555 I could no longer change any video encoder plugin settings (I am using the nvidia H265 encoder plugin). I pick the options and the option flashes, says saved but never changes from the stock settings. I have tried completely deleting the app data folder, docker image and re-installing from scratch but it will still not change the settings.

Just tried installing other plugins as well such as Remux Video Files, Video Encoder H265/HEVC - libx265 (CPU) and it is not allowing me to change or save any settings either. It does the same thing. Screen flashes, says saved but stays with the previous setting.

So i kind of figured out what is occurring.   The unmanic docker upgraded to newer version, but did not force the plugin to update so i was on .09 (I think), it did not give any errors but everything that ran thru that, even though the size is bigger, is flagged with HVEC (so the system thinks it's already done) and if you run it again, it won't change it.  (.11 of the plugin came out but the system again didnt tell me to upgrade and kept the problem going).   I am going to try to force handbrake into converting these, but it was a TON of files that i did this to before realizing the issue.   Not sure how to fix these video files.

There is a either something I am doing wrong or there is a bug where the files sizes are all 20% bigger than original source.   I did not have any issues until the new release last week(10 days ago?) I have a P2000 card and these are my settings  for H265(very basic).

Enable NVDEC HW ACC DECODING (not checked)

Write your params (not checked)

NVENC Encoder Qual preset (SLOW)

Profile (Main)

Max input Stream (2048)

Keep same container (checked)

Not sure if i am doing something incorrectly with Video Encoder H265/HEVC - hevc_nvenc (NVIDIA GPU) using v0.0.10

Please help :)

So, I've just made the switch from AMD to Intel, and am having trouble getting the Intel QSV plugin working. I was previously using the vaapi for AMD and it worked great with the iGPU.

It gets stuck like this:

image.thumb.png.ba65f3a61c5070ea9e70694ae5c127b9.png

That is the entire log too. just says "infinity hours" and doesnt seem to do anything. I cannot terminate the worker either, i have to reboot the container.

Here are my settings:

image.thumb.png.575507cd69a02bc8affbc7860f931360.png

The new CPU is an intel 11th gen 11700 and the iGPU is the UHD 750 if any of that matters

EDIT: Tried VAAPI with the Intel iGPU, and it failed instantly, with the log full of:

[h264 @ 0x5572ddb63940] Failed to end picture decode issue: 23 (internal decoding error).

[h264 @ 0x5572ddb63940] hardware accelerator failed to decode picture

Hi, my question is also regarding custom ffmpeg options, as sample, when i add something in the plugin settings like this

image.thumb.png.3d9f5c7427c179345ba32727750ca461.png

i see its also written to the userdata settings.json

image.thumb.png.a0fb8dd5cefc47a3a7422f25a370d74d.png

but as the results are still the same and i check the logs i see this option is not used

here from the runner log and the used ffmpeg string (the extra option is ignored)

ffmpeg -hide_banner -loglevel info -init_hw_device qsv=hw -filter_hw_device hw -i /library/tv/Legacies - S02E07 - Das Orakel.mkv -strict -2 -max_muxing_queue_size 2048 -vf hwupload=extra_hw_frames=64,format=qsv -map 0:v:0 -map 0:a:0 -map 0:a:1 -c:v:0 hevc_qsv -preset slow -tune film -global_quality 22 -look_ahead 1 -c:a:0 copy -c:a:1 copy -y /tmp/unmanic/unmanic_file_conversion-1647877245.9008214/Legacies - S02E07 - Das Orakel-1647877245.9008152-WORKING-1.mkv

as sample, the option is working fine when i run from the unmanic docker shell and the result is expected (working).

i tested after editing the settings page, then another test after restarting the docker, options also are persistent setted in the settings window from the UI and also in settings.json file.

anything i missed what else would be todo when i edit something ?

Hi Josh,

I found what might be a bug, I have not had the issue since I made a change so assume that was the cause. Not sure if you had it reported before but see below:

Issue: Plex scanner crashing the Plex docker container.

Probable Cause: The notify Plex plugin seemed to trigger a full scan not a partial scan every time an encode finished. This was repeatedly restarted before it finished when encoding smaller quick files.

Logs attached and errors below:

"** PLEX MEDIA SCANNER CRASHED, CRASH REPORT WRITTEN: /config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Crash Reports/1.25.6.5577-c8bd13540/PLEX MEDIA SCANNER/45c7ca2a-b863-460b-df55088e-f081c704.dmp"

I have since removed the notify Plex plugin from my workflow and have not had the issue since.

An odd one: I have a TV show that doesn't want to be scanned. The show is named the same format as everything else in my TV shows library, is H264 like everything else before I convert it, but when it's scanned nothing gets added to the pending jobs nor appended to the log, except to say a scan has happened. The shows aren't in the converted history (as having been done/scanned previously), and a restart of the app doesn't seem to fix it.

Here's the relevant lines in the log:

Never mind....a quick restart of the docker container later, and here's a much more debug-esque log. Just the relevant lines attached.

It's probably worth mentioning that the directory is 777 nobody:users, and all the files are 666 nobody:users, just like every other directory in TV Shows.

Hi,

Amazing work on the latest version - I love being able to pick and choose plugins and options, and I think unmanic just went from a "nice to have" app to a "must have" app in my mind.

I am still seeing errors processing files quite occasionally - specifically, I see the following:

Filtergraph 'format=nv12|vaapi,hwupload' was defined for video output stream 0:0 but codec copy was selected.

Filtering and streamcopy cannot be used together.

Is there an issue with my configuration that could cause this, or something I can do to mitigate it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone,

I seem to have the exact same issue. Was this figured out?

I am using the Video Encoder H265/HEVC - hevc_qsv (Intel)

"Filtergraph 'hwupload=extra_hw_frames=64,format=qsv' was defined for video output stream 0:5 but codec copy was selected.

Filtering and streamcopy cannot be used together."

So Unmanic is sooooo close to being perfect (and in fact, may be with custom options), but is it possible to have the it place the stereo audio stream it creates as the first audio track, or alternatively, the default audio track?

Follow up to the above, is it possible to then have it reprocess files with the above change?

Thanks!

Hello,

I am playing around with unmanic for the last couple of weeks and I love it already striped al my content of all audio tracks and subtitels except english... Now I am a bit lost in the plugins and setting and I am hoping you guys can help me.

I am trying to optimize me plex library as much as possible to minimize the transcode for all my clients such as android phones, xbox, Chromecast V3, Chromecast with Google TV etc...

Does anyone have experience with this how to optimize the video and audio with keeping 5.1 Surround (Atmos) and do you guys use the normalize plugin

And is ther a Plugin to remove all subtitels except english and dutch?

Hopping you guys can give me some advice and maybe are willing to share your settings for reference

It seems that the library scanner is no longer picking up files for me.

I **recently set up Unmanic and it's initially library scan added pretty much everything to the pending task list and after a couple of months (lol) we got through. Unmanic has been idle for some time now, but I noticed that the last task was completed over two weeks ago, when I have added H.264 content in the last few days.

Even manual library scans are not picking up these files.

I have tried:

swapping libraries in docker settings

adding library separately in Unmanic itself

re-installing Unmanic

the problem persists. Hitting the "library scan" button, I can see that it has access to the disk by seeing it go through my directories in the bottom left, but nothing ever gets added to pending tasks. I tried looking online but I couldn't seem to find someone else who is having the same issue. plz help.

Still getting a few stray files (and an entire show) that gets this error:

2022-04-06T00:07:16:DEBUG:Unmanic.Plugin.reorder_audio_streams_by_language - File unable to be probed by FFProbe - '/library/tv/Terror, The/The.Terror.s01e02.Gore.Bluray-1080p.Remux.mkv'

It does it for Plugin.reorder_subtitle_streams_by_language, Plugin.encoder_audio_aac, and Plugin.encoder_video_hevc_nvenc, which is what I use across my entire collection. Permissions are the same as everything else (folders to 777, files to 666, nobody:users are owner and group)

Start by trying to probe those files manually from a terminal:

ffprobe -show_streams -print_format json /path/to/file.ext

If that fails, the issue is not with Unmanic or the plugins. If that does give you an output I will need to think further on what it may be...

Hi Everyone,

Unmanic has been great so far however, today it decided to stop working.

On all worker logs it's getting the same error and it freezes up the workers.

Hi there, i have the exact same problem, is there a solution for this? on another unraid server with xeon cpu it works perfectly with the same files... (the failing system has a i3 cpu)

Hi, Patreon supporter here.  For some reason Unmanic became logged out of Patreon, and when trying to log back in I am getting the following error from https://unmanic.app/patreon-login/callback

Internal Server ErrorThe server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application.

I forgot to respond here sorry. Did you log back in yet? The server was undergoing maintenance this week. I did my best not to affect anyone, but it obviously did affect you sorry.
