h3xcmd
I recently moved my server to a new home along with me. Everything connected minus the Verizon Fios internet. As I wait for the service technician to come out. I wanted to utilize my local network, enjoy Plex etc.. I can ping unraid host ip. I can ssh unraid host ip. I can use a monitor and a keyboard on the Server to interact directly in the cli. what I cannot do or get working is to access the WebUI to enter in the encrypted pass key and start the array. entering in my local http://Tower or http://IP.IP.IP.ip redirects to this example https://[email protected] I do not have a local DNS server and my juniper SRX gateway still has the previous DNS IP’s entered. i can remove them which I have and made no difference. I am am assuming I cannot access the webUI because 1) I do not have internet and a dns server 2) https is enabled which needs a DNS host. skipping the WebUI mess what are the exact CLI commands to enter to 1) unlock my encrypted array 2) start the array or 3) remove https to access with IP:80 only either directly or through SSH CLI? [edit] https://ip.ip.ip.ip for the WebUI worked however I still want to know other workarounds Edited January 6, 2019 by h3xcmd Quote Link to comment
Friis
I would start unraid in GUI mode with monitor and keyboard connected to the server. when it is started you should be able to change some settings. Go to "Settings", under "Management access" you have "Use SSL/TLS". Set this to no, to prevent unraid from using https. after that you can reboot and it should respond to http://IP again. If you really want https. You need to have your DNS to work for the redirect to work or unraid need to have SSL certificate to be able to sign the https connection. (I have an alike problem as unraid is also my router) Edited January 6, 2019 by Friis Quote Link to comment
