January 6, 20197 yr Hi, i have the problem that i can't install a windows 10 vm with a 3 TB partition. Seems like the problem is the MBR-partition style. How do i get a GPT-partition style? (I am only getting a display signal with SeaBios) System Setup: Z9PA-U8 Xeon E5-2680v2 Radeon RX580 64 GB DDR3 ECC
January 12, 20197 yr Windows should automatically format as GPT if you are doing a clean install, if instead you have a physical drive you are installing to, then you need to Google how to do a "DiskPart" command and use "Clean" on the drive during windows install (This will wipe the drive completely)... Also, you usually want to use OVMF and Q35, SeaBios is for legacy OS's at this point... Edit: Just remembered, SeaBios can't boot GPT drives anyway (1.9TB and MBR only) Edited January 12, 20197 yr by Warrentheo
