Reboot hung

Featured Replies

I noticed that mover had been running for about 12 hours and seemed to be hung so decided to reboot the server. Now the shutdown seems to be hung. I've been waiting about 15 minutes and still seeing this-

Should I keep waiting or go ahead with a hard shutdown and parity check?

^^^ But, if you've got any VM's, check to see if they actually shutdown.  Also make sure that you've got no SSH terminal sitting in /mnt/user/...

This is a possibility but I don't know how to check.

Any open terminal windows that say (eg)

root@ServerA:/mnt/user/Movies#

And, if it's a possibility, would probably be a good idea to install Dynamix Stop Shell (probably too late for that now though)

My mistake. There was a user script waiting to run on the server which runs a backup of my pfsense box via SSH. Got a notification of script terminated when I tried to reboot. Not the same thing that you're talking about though I think.
