gareth_iowc Posted January 6, 2019 Share Posted January 6, 2019 Hi all, So i've managed to get my windows 10 vm up and running and im passing the video through my GTX970. the performance of the GTX970 is shocking and wont even load a benchmark test. the mouse even lags around. I'm running the latest driver and have also tried and older driver. Windows appears happy with the driver and the resolution is 1080p. If i reduce to a lower resolution i still have the same problem. skippy Posted January 7, 2019 Share Posted January 7, 2019 Hi Gareth, Which version of Unraid are you running? I just had a similar problem and I was on 6.4.0, updating to 6.6.6 did the trick for me. Also, are you running the VM on a separate disk, the ssd cache or the array? Additionally, make sure you are passing through both the video and the audio from the GPU. Please follow the correct upgrade path from the update guide if you decide to go ahead and have a look at my thread for other suggestions on how to optimise the VM like setting W10 to High Performance and apply the MSI fix. There is also a good page on the Wiki with all recommended settings for a W10 VM. Quote Link to comment
