LawsReporting
Hello, I have been moving some folder shares off our old Windows 2012 file server to a new unRAID 6.6.6 server I built over last month. I have been using robocopy to move the data from Windows 2012 to the unRAID shares. Now the problem I am running into is Windows 10 workstation is not showing the files and folder size correctly after they have copied. Properties original location size and files. Properties location on unRAID after robocopy from Windows 10 work station. Checking QDirStat It shows all the files and folders are on unRAID. Please let me know if anyone has any insight, I was doing some reading and did try setting "allocation roundup size = 4096" in SMB extra configuration. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
DingHo
Having the same issue. Just came here to post about it as well. For a fresh copy of a directory, cache disabled for this share, the folder/file size is vastly different when reported by windows vs krusader docker. Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Try running the new permissions tool on that specific share and check again. Until you are showing the same number of files comparing size is meaningless. Quote Link to comment

I'm guessing this is a windows issue. Quote Link to comment

Your screenshots show a comparison of 2 very different contents, but you are coming to the conclusion that the contents are identical. File size calculation can indeed be off, but file COUNT should be identical. Something is very strange here. I'd try comparing subsets to see if you can narrow down which files on the server are not showing up in windows. Quote Link to comment
DingHo
I think it's a Windows issue because Windows is reporting 2 different counts (network vs local). The krusader and windows local count agree. It's only the windows network count that differs. Either way, I agree something is very strange. Looking in the forums, it seems several people are having the same issue. Quote Link to comment
LawsReporting
I have tried the new permission tool, didn't make any difference. The problem does look isolated to Windows 10. Please see attached 2 different computers same network share. Windows 10 Workstation Windows 2012 Server Thanks. Quote Link to comment

trurl
I can't quite figure out how to reproduce the exact "form" of the Property page you are showing. If I get Properties for one of my Unraid shares (sharename Public) on my Unraid server (servername unserver), I get this: But when I get Properties for a subfolder in one of those shares I get this: : So, no information for the share itself, but correct information (verified with WizTree) for a subfolder. Since the title of each window says "12, ... Properties", what you are doing is highlighting multiple folders and then getting the properties of those folders I would surmise / guess that your view options are different between the 2 computers, and the same number of folders are not being selected (ie: Some are hidden / tagged as being a system folder, etc on one of the machines.) Ensure the view options on both machines are identical Quote Link to comment
