Fan Wall Pins?

Featured Replies

Hi All

I bought the "Servercase UK SC-4324S = Norco RPC-4224 4U" and it have the 3 fan Wall and a power connector.

BUT on the side of the power connector there is some pins (See picture)

Better see it here:

What are they used for?

It will be pretty hard to get to them when I have mounted it and the MB....(Impossible)

Hope someone can clear this up for me

Thanks

Casperse

I have this case, but there are absolutely no instructions provided, so I can't give you a definitive answer. My guess is that they're fan control header pins. Since there's 6, there would be 2 per fan that you'd connect to the motherboard.

Hello,

Sorry to revive this old thread, but did you (or someone else) ever resolve this?

I bought this case (SC-4324) from AliBaba (I assume from the OEM) and it came with a cable attached to this header.
It seems to be a custom cable that goes to three fan plugs probably for PWM control, with power being delivered via the 4-pin molex.

Photos attached, you could likely make your own cable if you have the parts or by splicing a USB header cable with 3 PWW fan cables.
