I messed up in terminal

Featured Replies

It's all gone wrong!

I was in the terminal trying to move around some files when I must have entered a bad command as it started to try and move files for /lib and who knows what else. I stopped it as soon as I could. But the damage was done and it wouldn't even recognise ls commands.

I now can't access the webGUI anymore - I get a 403 error

Any advice would be appreciated....

Probably not much you can do but reboot. The OS will unpack fresh from the flash drive (assuming you didn't lose the stuff on flash yet). Then you can take a look and see how far it got with your data. Maybe little if any permanent damage if you stopped it quickly.

Do you have a backup of flash? Do you have a backup of any important and irreplaceable data? You should have both.
