Poor performance all of a sudden

Been running unraid server for about a year with NO problems whatsoever until last week. I didn't change any software or hardware. I have been using v4.5.6 since it went online. Here are my issues:

1. Music skips constantly. Server files are being accessed by only one computer. Server is running no additional applications other than unraid OS. The read/write speeds over the network are MUCH higher than the data transfer rate of playing mp3 or FLAC files, so I don't understand the issue. Tested with different music software and different computers on the same network.

2. I used to run ps3mediaserver on my unraid tower. The DLNA server recently started to drop unexpectedly. I have tested this software independently of the problem described above. Running ps3mediaserver by itself, the media server still drops. Playing music by itself, the music still skips.

I ran a parity check with no errors.

All computers have wired gigabit ethernet and get normal data transfer speeds.

Was your parity check normal?

If so, sounds like something to do with your NIC or connection to the router/switch.  Try a different cable and a different router/switch port.
