Kodi to support multiple movie versions at last!

Featured Replies

It isn't going to make it into Leia, but will the release after it looks like.  A very simple and effective way to have a 4k and HD version, or to deal with extended/directors/final cuts!

This is really cool, and a feature that Plex doesn't have as far as I know.

You can do it in Plex. Not as Nifty as they are presenting it, but you can click the button that says "Play Version" I've only checked PC and on my iPhone, but I could only imagine that other devices would support it.

Man, I had no idea Plex supported that!  This means that when Kodi does I can finally merge my 4k Library with my SD & HD library

Plex (mostly) also automatically chooses the best version for each client e.g. if it can't handle 4k it'll play the 1080p version
