First Time Setup - USB Blacklisted twice

Featured Replies

Hi all! I am new to this and am trying to setup my UnRaid server... I initially tried using the USB Flash Creator, but for whatever reason it would not let me select any of the three flash drives that I have available to me. So I went with the manual installation. Which seemed fine until it booted up. For some reason, my fresh USB flash is blacklisted. I was like what the hay so I went ahead and tried another one of my drives and I got the exact same thing. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank You!

That GUID doesn't look like it is unique. Are all of them like that?

Yes I did notice that after I took a screenshot...... It does seem to have a lot of 0's. Any idea why this might be? The other drive had the same issue

You will have to use a different Flash.

Some vendors (particularly the cheap generic types) do not give each of their USB drives unique GUID’s (presumably to keep down costs).    Unfortunately such drives are unsuitable for use an Unraid boot drive/license key.
