January 19, 20197 yr Hi all. Been running Unraid for some time and really enjoying it. Recently upgraded HW in order to run Win10 VM with passthrough. Most of my smaller issues I have been able to resolve by reading on the forum and espesially SpaceinvaderOne's videos has been amazing. I'm running my Win 10 VM on the cache drive, WD black NVME, 500GB. Yesterday I increased the size of the VM to 200GB. This has caused trouble, because apparantly the cache is full. I've not enabled the cache drive for my shares. Question: *Inside Index of /mnt/cache/domains/Windows 10 I have a vdisk1.img which is 215GB *Inside Index of /mnt/cache/system/libvirt I have a libvirt.img which is 322GB Both of these are on the Cache drive. Why do I have what appears to be 2 VM's? Can anyone point me in the right direction to resolve this? Do I need both of the files mentioned above? Would hate to create the VM again and delete the which was working 100% until I tried to increase the disk size.. Any help is much appreciated :)

January 19, 20197 yr Author Thank you, much appreciated. Is it possible to get some more details? Consider me a noob on this subject. There are no XML's in that folder..? And recreate VM? Delete VM and start all over?
January 19, 20197 yr XML is the VM config, if you go to the VM page in the GUI, edit a VM and click on XML view on the upper right corner, you can copy your existing XML and then paste them after deleting and recreating the libvirt.img, but you'll also need to keep an eye on it to see if it keeps growing.
January 19, 20197 yr Author Ok, copied the contents of the xml. Deleted the libvirt.img. Created a new file called libvirt.img. Stopped and started the array. Now I get the message "Libvirt Service failed to start." And the Libvirt.img file immidiately starts to grow up until the disk is full again.. 322GB. Where is the xml content supposed to be copied in again? Do I create a file in i.e notepad+++, with the content from XML and save that as libvirt.img? Edit: I see the libvirt size is 300GB? Should this be 1GB? Edited January 19, 20197 yr by whatsmytname
January 19, 20197 yr Author Ok, thats done. The libvirt is deleted, recreates and XML copied back. Now its 1GB VM wont start though:
January 19, 20197 yr You're likely missing some uefi related file, can't help with that, someone else should.
January 19, 20197 yr Author @johnnie.black, Thank you so much for your help. My VM is up again, changed the display adapter to VNC, so at least I'm able to extract the files and work- I will try to get the passthrough working again- If not, I'll create a new VM.. You deserve a cold one from me, Pm me and i'll buy you one
