Manually run mover script for Cache Drive

Featured Replies

I am on Unraid 6.6.6 and I ahve 2.5 TB on my cache drive. I clicked on "Move now" button under "Main" and it is still not moving data into my main data drive.

Do i need to do anything else as well ?

Enable Mover Logging in Settings, Scheduler, attempt a move again, then post your diagnostics

Do you have any cache-yes user shares? Those are the only shares that will be moved to the array.

My unraid keeps on saying
"Please wait... collecting diagnostic information (this may take several minutes)" ... It has been over 15 minutes now. Does it take so long ?

I have just seen your posts about this in another thread.

@ManishGupta8

Why have you posted about this in 2 different threads?

Please, please, never do this again. Only post in one thread about a specific problem.

Posting in multiple places about the same thing is known as crossposting. It has been considered bad practice on message boards since before the world wide web.

The reason it is bad is because it makes it impossible to coordinate the replies. Here is an example of what I mean.

What if someone spends a lot of time and effort researching your problem and takes the trouble to write a long, detailed response on one thread.

And another person spends a lot of time and effort researching your problem and takes the trouble to write a long, detailed response on the other thread, not realizing that they are wasting their time and effort because they had no idea about the replies on the other thread.

Don't crosspost!
