It took me a lot of fiddling but I got my Win10 VM working great.. And now I created a MacOS Mojave VM using SpaceInvadors great Youtube tutorials.

This also took me quite a while to get up and running nicely. But it works and is quite fast! First my sound was crackling but when I moved my USB external speakers to a PCI-express USB-card which I passed through, this was solved.

 

However, no video's are playing at this point. The VM is fast and snappy and has 4 CPU's pinned.. but somehow video's don't play. They don't even start playing past the first image of the video... Nothing.

 

What can I do?

 

System:

Gigabyte Z390 Aeros Pro

Intel Core i7 8700 (without K)

32 GB RAM

ATI Radeon RX 580 videocard with 8GB RAM

I also just tested if this was not only happening with the web.. like youtube... But no, it also happens when trying to play a QT movie or some other movie in Photos.... No video playback at all.
