January 23, 20197 yr Hello friends! New Unraid user here trying to get a very specific networking setup to work with a VM in Unraid. I've been googling around and can't find anything pertaining to what I am trying to do. My server only has 1 physical NIC for reference. Here is the end goal: VM has 2 NICs - NIC 1 is the bridged adapter with internet access & NIC 2 is a virtual network on a different subnet with only access to Unraid SMB shares and storage. I've only ever done virtualization with Hyper-V but I remember that you could make virtual networks in Hyper-V that weren't always connected to physical adapters. Is this possible in Unraid? The reason I am trying to get this setup to work is because I want to use a VPN on the VM for internet access, but also be able to access storage hosted by Unraid. I have a Ubiquiti Amplifi Instant router for reference as well. Maybe this isn't the best way to achieve my end goal, and I am also open to other workflow suggestions. Thanks!
