Slow Parity Rebuild and General Access Speeds

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have resolved my issue by changing the PCI-e settings on my ASUS MAXIMUS V from Auto to GEN2 for my LSI HBA 2008 Controller

The 8 disks on that controller are now quieter, much much faster my question really is why?  is it because my motherboard could not detect the card correctly or something else?

Also the drive temperatures are now showing!

Any info appreciated for my curiousity!

Thanks

Motherboard should auto link at 2.0, but you check link speed with lspci -vv.
