Disks disappeared on reboot

Featured Replies

I rebooted my server and both my spinning disks are not displaying. My flash drive and SSD show correctly but my HDDs aren't even showing as unassigned.

Any help would really be appreciated, please take it easy on me I'm new to unraid.

Thanks

No devices are being detected other than the SSD, check connections and bios, until the drives are detected in the bios they also won't be detect by Unraid.

Apologies I should have said thank you for such a quick reply. I have started the server in safe mode with no plugins and I can see the disks. How would I identified the problem plugin?

Did you do anything other than start in SAFE mode, such as check the connections as suggested? The reason I ask is because your plugins are unlikely to have those symptoms.

You don't have many plugins, and some probably need updating anyway. The system buttons plugin should not be used.

It might have been an intermittent issue, disks should still be detected in normal mode, if it happens again likely a miniSAS cable problem, or PSU.

Thanks guys, I didn't touch the disks, they are mounted directly on to a back plane so I hope it's not a problem there. I'm away now for the weekend so I'll restart in normal mode when I get home incase it doesn't see the disks again. I'll let you know how I get on.

Thanks again.
