jondoo1220
I'm not exactly sure when this started, but I first noticed the Apps tab missing a few months ago, but didn't spend much time debugging before giving up. I decided to take another stab at this today, upgraded from v 6.4.1 to v 6.6.6. This still did not fix the issue. After poking around, I noticed that many of the /usr/local/emhttp/plugin folders that I expected are missing. Here is what I see: $ls -al /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ total 0 drwxrwxrwx 10 root root 200 Jun 9 2015 ./ drwxrwxrwx 3 root root 280 Jan 25 00:35 ../ drwxrwxrwx 7 root root 200 Aug 30 2015 Plexmediaserver/ drwxr-xr-x 9 root root 2100 Dec 1 11:32 dynamix/ drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 240 Aug 31 11:58 dynamix.apcupsd/ drwxr-xr-x 9 root root 340 Oct 31 09:22 dynamix.docker.manager/ drwxr-xr-x 6 root root 220 Sep 23 09:03 dynamix.plugin.manager/ drwxr-xr-x 9 root root 320 Nov 23 12:00 dynamix.vm.manager/ drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 160 Dec 1 11:37 unRAIDServer/ drwxrwxrwx 3 root root 80 Jun 9 2015 webGui/ I've tried manually running the upgradepkg command on the community applications plugin, but I still don't see these files showing up, and was not able to get any more information as to what is happening. The command seems to work correctly until I look for the files. In the attached diagnostics, I've rebooted after deleting the CA plugin, then install it. I can't see anything in the logs that would indicate any errors, and have run out of ideas on what to try, any help would be greatly appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20190125-0035.zip Quote Link to comment
trurl
Just put your flash in your PC and rename or delete the config/plugins folder and do them over starting with Community Applications. Quote Link to comment

Another good reason to do them over starting with CA. And install the others using CA Quote Link to comment
jondoo1220
Ok, renamed the config/plugins folder and tried installing the CA plugin, still nothing. Is there anyway I can see what the steps are to try and manually do what upgradepkg is doing since there are no errors? I should note that I've also manually tried making files/folders in the emhttp/plugins folder and that worked as expected, so I don't think its a privilege/disk issue. Also, in regards to plex, I had moved to the docker a while ago. I tried updating the image after I upgraded to 6.6.6, and somehow it disappeared and the plugin resurfaced? tower-diagnostics-20190125-0949.zip Edited January 25, 2019 by jondoo1220 Quote Link to comment

jondoo1220
anything under /usr/local/emhttp/plugins. If I'm not mistaken, that is where the apps page and scripts are installed? Quote Link to comment

jondoo1220
So I just tried moving everything from boot/extras out and rebooted, and I've got the apps tab there. Must have been one of these: ca-certificates-20130906-noarch-1.txz* tar-1.26-x86_64-1.tgz* openssl-1.0.1f-x86_64-1_slack14.1.txz* zlib-1.2.8-x86_64-1.txz* Don't remember if I put those there or not, but it seems to be working now Quote Link to comment
