January 27, 20197 yr I recently added a Mac to my network and it is running Mojave (10.14.2) and I am running UNRAID 6.6.6, I am trying to mount my "movies" share and it just never lists the directories. The share does have around 5,000 directories so I am expecting some delay but I have waited over 20 minutes and nothing...not just 20 minutes once but many times...after restarting the Unraid server, restarting the Mac, restarting the router and hub...I tried turning on AFP and NFS, using the "connect to" in the finder. Nothing seems to work...any suggestions?
January 27, 20197 yr Is it actually scanning the directories ( you see a spinning wheel)? Or does it display “0 items”? Mine usually takes 10-15 minutes to scan about 2300 directories when I initially mount it. Might try just opening a finder window and go off and leave it. Check back in an hour or two and see. Another option is to upgrade to the 6.7 RC release (if this isn’t a mission critical server) and enable enhanced OSX compatibility in settings>SMB. This has really improved my wait times. Windows typically load in <60 seconds. Edited January 27, 20197 yr by wgstarks
