JohnGrosshans
Hey Everyone, I am fairly new to unraid so forgive my ignorance. I have seen in the forum how to setup pass thrus for physical disks in a VM but what I really want to do is mount an unraid share within my windows 10 VM so that it sees the share as local storage. Is this possible from the unraid settings? Quote Link to comment

Is this possible from the unraid settings? No. If the space is shared by unraid, you can only connect to it as a shared resource. If you allocate space as local storage in your VM, unraid can't share it. Only one OS at a time can use space as truly local. You could share space from the VM and mount it into unraid in the Unassigned devices plugin, but it can't participate in unraid's user share system. 1 Quote Link to comment
